Q: Who is eligible to register for Apex Hockey skills classes and camps?

A:  Apex Hockey classes and camps are tailored for youth hockey players with intermediate to advanced skill proficiencies. Our programs are designed to hone and refine the skills of players who have a foundational understanding of the game. It's important to note that Apex Hockey is not a hockey skills program for beginners; rather, it is geared towards athletes who already possess a certain level of expertise on the ice. To ensure a focused and dynamic training environment, our camps typically welcome participants starting at a minimum age of 11-12 years. This age requirement ensures that participants have the physical and cognitive readiness to engage with the specialized training curriculum that Apex Hockey provides.

Q: What are the registration criteria for Apex Hockey camps?

A: When registering for Apex Hockey camps, there are specific criteria to ensure a smooth and accurate enrollment process:

  1. Verification of Eligibility and Skill Level: To confirm eligibility and assess skill level, parents are requested to provide a screenshot of their child's roster from their 2023-2024 winter youth hockey team during the registration process. This step is crucial in ensuring that participants meet the necessary criteria for the selected camp and allows us to tailor the experience to their skill level.
  2. Accurate Information for Skill and Age Requirements: It's important for parents to accurately enter their child's information during the registration process, including skill level and age. Certain classes and camps may have specific skill level and age requirements to optimize the learning experience. Providing precise information helps us create well-matched groups, ensuring that participants receive targeted and effective coaching.

Please note that these measures are in place to enhance the overall experience and skill development for each participant. If you have any questions or need assistance during the registration process, our team is readily available to provide support through our contact page. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a seamless registration for Apex Hockey skills camps.

Q: What is Apex Hockey's cancellation/refund policy?

A: At Apex Hockey, we aim to provide a comprehensive refund/cancellation policy that addresses various scenarios while ensuring fairness and transparency for all participants. Click here to view our entire policy. Here are the general criteria:

  1. Medical or Injury-Related Cancellations: Cancellations due to medical or injury-related matters, supported by a valid doctor's note, will be carefully considered for either a refund or a credit toward a future hockey class or camp. The decision is made at the discretion of Apex Hockey, taking into account the timing and proximity of the cancellation in relation to the scheduled camp.
  2. Non-Medical Cancellations: Cancellations related to non-medical matters may be eligible for a credit toward a future program, subject to the discretion of Apex Hockey. The decision will be based on factors such as the timing of the cancellation in relation to the scheduled program.
  3. No-Show Policy: Participants who fail to attend without prior notification (no-shows) are not eligible for a refund or future credit and forfeit their registration. It's important for participants to communicate any cancellations in a timely manner to allow for appropriate consideration.
  4. Misrepresentation of Skill Level: Misrepresentation of a child's skill level is taken seriously at Apex Hockey. Participants found to have misrepresented their skill level are subject to forfeiting their registration without a refund, at the discretion of Apex Hockey. We encourage honesty in skill level assessment to ensure the best possible experience for all participants.
At Apex Hockey, we value the integrity of our programs and appreciate open communication from participants regarding any circumstances that may impact their attendance. If you have questions or need further clarification, please don't hesitate to contact us through our dedicated contact page.

Q: I would like to learn more information about your 3D motion capture technology, and schedule an on-ice analysis testing and evaluation session.

A: Our cutting-edge 3D motion capture technology is primarily utilized for in-depth analysis and evaluation of advanced players, including those at the junior, collegiate, and professional hockey levels. This advanced technology is particularly beneficial for older players who have established a more consistent skating foundation. As youth players are in a continuous phase of growth and development, the technology is best suited for older players who can leverage it to fine-tune their skating mechanics and, when needed, for injury rehabilitation. This technology is not used during our hockey camps and is only available in private one-on-one sessions. If you are a professional player interested in accessing our 3D motion capture services, we invite you to reach out to us via our contact page. Our dedicated team will be more than happy to provide you with detailed information and schedule an on-ice analysis and evaluation tailored to your specific needs and goals.

Please refer to this chart to ensure a comfortable and accurate fit. It's essential to note that jerseys and socks are ordered based on the selections made, and last-minute substitutions are not permitted.
