Introducing Owen McDade, a proud native of Combermere, ON, whose hockey journey is deeply rooted in passion and dedication. From his early days with the Valley Storm and Ottawa Valley Titans to donning the jerseys of the Pembroke Lumber Kings and the Oshawa Generals during his two-year stint in OHL junior hockey, Owen’s commitment to the sport has been unwavering.
Post his illustrious junior hockey career, Owen pursued a four-year BBA Honours degree at Trent University, showcasing his commitment to both academics and athletics. Following his university journey, he seamlessly transitioned into the coaching realm at the Ontario Hockey Academy, demonstrating his multifaceted skills and dedication to the development of young athletes.
Notably, Owen ventured into the professional hockey arena, spending two years playing minor pro in the Suomi Sarja for Muik Hockey. Presently, he continues to make his mark on the ice as a player for the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs in the SPHL.
Beyond the rink, Owen’s interests extend to golfing, exploring new destinations, and giving back to the community through coaching youth hockey. His diverse experiences and unwavering commitment make him a valuable asset to the world of hockey, both as a player and a mentor.
