Introducing Braeden Virtue, an on-ice performance coach at Apex Hockey, based in Ottawa, Ontario. Braeden’s profound understanding of the game stems from a robust playing career that unfolded across multiple leagues and regions.

Braeden’s journey on the ice began in the highly competitive Quebec Major Junior League, where he showcased his skills and determination over four impactful years with the Quebec Remparts, Gatineau Olympiques, and Charlottetown Islanders. His commitment to the sport led him to the Alberta Junior Hockey League, where he played for the Spruce Grove Saints, adding another layer to his diverse hockey experience.

Upon arriving in Ottawa, Braeden continued his playing career by joining the men’s varsity team at Carleton University, simultaneously pursuing a degree in psychology. This unique combination of on-ice performance and academic insight positions Braeden as a well-rounded and resourceful member of the Apex Hockey coaching team.

Braeden’s dedication to skill development extends beyond the regular hockey season. For the past seven summers, he has been honing his coaching skills in Massachusetts, where he has served as a skills coach. This experience has allowed him to refine his coaching techniques and share his expertise with aspiring players eager to enhance their skills.
